Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi at'amana wa saqana wa ja'alana muslimin
 Praise be to Allah who fed us, gave us drink and made us Muslims.
Morning
أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ
Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah
 We have entered the morning and the whole kingdom belongs to Allah.
Evening
أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ
Amsayna wa amsal-mulku lillah
 We have entered the evening and the whole kingdom belongs to Allah.
Before sleep
بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya
 In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.
On waking
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur
 Praise be to Allah who gave us life after death; to Him is the resurrection.
Leaving home
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
 In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah; there is no might nor power except with Allah.
Starting a journey
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ
Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin
 Glory to Him who subjected this to us, and we could never have controlled it ourselves.
Entering the mosque
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allahummaf-tah li abwaba rahmatik
 O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.
Leaving the mosque
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Allahumma inni as-aluka min fadlik
 O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.
Seeking knowledge
رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Rabbi zidni 'ilma
 My Lord, increase me in knowledge. (Quran 20:114)
For parents
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbir-hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira
 My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small. (Quran 17:24)
Seeking forgiveness
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Astaghfirullaha rabbi min kulli dhanbin wa atubu ilayh
 I seek the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, from every sin and turn to Him.
In worry or grief
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan
 O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief.
When facing difficulty
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
Rabbish-rahli sadri wa yassirli amri
 My Lord, expand my chest and ease my task for me. (Quran 20:25-26)
Thankfulness
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Alhamdu lillahi rabbil-alamin
 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. (Quran 1:2)
